TGI Friday's Microwaveable Spinach, Cheese, and Artichoke Dip

Not T.G.I. Fridays the restaurant, but the frozen food you buy in the store. This dip has spinach and artichoke hearts in a creamy alfredo sauce with roasted garlic. It is easy to cook, only taking 3 or four minutes. The spinach tasted like frozen spinach, nothing great there. There was lots of small artichoke pieces, it would have been nice if they were larger. The sauce they were in was a bit thin. Matter of fact, I'm not used to spinach artichoke dip having a sauce, usually it is thick, and creamy, but not really liquid at all. That is probably why I was disappointed in this appetizer and wouldn't get it again. (45 calories 3.5g fat; 2g carbs; 2g protein; 5% sodium; per 2 tablespoon serving)

  5. you have to bake it, using the microwave doesn't do it justice

  6. I agree with your review. Not great, & I won't be buying it again. The spinach & artichoke were in an almost non-existence sauce. I had to add my own cheese to make it taste good. I tore up a few slices of muenster cheese & microwaved it till melted. THEN, it was yummy. Surely, TGIFridays can do a better job with their frozen dip.

  7. They just changed to a new and improved recipe. The only thing it improved was their profit. It stunk! Now it's runny alfredo with a few clumps of spinach, and a surprise piece of artichoke. Used to buy a case at Sam's club. Never again.

  8. Yep, it is a new recipe and its yuck. Used to be more like creamed spinach, now more like cheesy sauce with a little bit of spinach. Companys keep changing many great recipes/products into garbage or discontinue them.

  9. I just tried it for the first time today. I was really looking forward to it..... but it was a huge disappointment!!! I had to add cheese to it also to try to make it better but it still was really bland and didn't mask the frozen spinach aspect. It tasted exactly like the green giant creamed spinach that you can get in the frozen section but the green giant is fresher tasting. I will never have this again. Better to make it from scratch than to add cheese to this.
